Selma Falck starts a new life as a private investigator when her former successful existence as a lawyer is shattered. It’s at a certain moment her only chance to survive and recapture whatever she lost. She wins and stays in her new job. Although her cases seem simple at first glance soon Selma becomes entangled in conspiracy, corruption, political foul play … It gets dangerous and Selma is near death more than once. On the other hand Norway would suffer if Selma did not take matters in her capable hand and save the nation – or at least some important parts of it.
Selma Falck beginnt ein neues Leben als Privatdetektivin, als ihre erfolgreiche Existenz als Anwältin zerbricht. In einem bestimmten Moment ist das ihre einzige Chance zu überleben und das, was sie verloren hat, zurückzuerobern. Sie gewinnt und bleibt ihrem neuen Metier treu. Obwohl ihre Fälle auf den ersten Blick einfach erscheinen, verstrickt sich Selma bald in Verschwörungen, Korruption, politisches Foulspiel … Es wird gefährlich, und Selma ist mehr als einmal dem Tod nahe. Andererseits stünde Norwegen am Abgrund, wenn Selma die Dinge nicht in ihre fähigen Hände nehmen und die Nation retten würde – oder zumindest einige wichtige Teile davon.
