Wesley Peterson, Detective Sergeant (DS) / Detective Inspector (DI)
(Devon and Cornwall Police)

Wesley Peterson moves with his wife into the English countryside to start a family and pursue his career far from London’s hustle and bustle. It works well for both projects. Wesley who joined the police after having studied archaeology is reminiscent about his academic life especially when meeting his friend Neil from university – now living and working as an archaelogist. Both get mixed up in crime: recent murders, missing people as well as crimes from the past to be found in historic archives and excavated ruins. Each novel presents the present and the past proving that all of today’s crime isn’t new: there are always some events in the past following the same schemes.
