Back in the 30s of last century Naples is a city spilling over with people of all social levels and of all types of appreciation of any crime. There are palaces, there are slums, congested quarter in the centre of the city, where people live in abundance and quasi next door die from hunger and diseases. This notorious city is the area of responsibility of Ricciardi, il commissario, mainly busy with solving murder cases. The cases are never straightforward – there are always twists and hidden depths Ricciardi has to analyze. Be sure that he will never resign independently if the murder victim is a rich and mighty person or simple a rough sleeper – and all happening on the background of the growing Italian National Socialism.

Damals in den 30er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts ist Neapel eine Stadt, die von Menschen aller sozialen Schichten und mit allen vorstellbaren Haltungen gegenüber jeglicher Art von kriminellen Handlungen überquillt. Es gibt Paläste, es gibt Slums, überfüllte Viertel im Zentrum der Stadt, wo Menschen im Überfluss leben und quasi nebenan an Hunger und Krankheiten sterben. Diese berüchtigte Stadt ist der Zuständigkeitsbereich von Ricciardi, il commissario, der meist mit der Aufklärung von Mordfällen beschäftigt ist. Die Fälle sind nie einfach – es gibt immer Wendungen und tiefe Abgründe, die Ricciardi analysieren muss. Ihr könnt sicher sein, dass er niemals aufgeben wird, egal ob das Mordopfer eine reiche und mächtige Person oder ein Tagelöhner ist – und alles speilt sich vor dem Hintergrund des wachsenden italienischen Nationalsozialismus ab.
