Giovanna Guarrasi has one goal in life: to solve crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice. To do this, she sacrifices her private life and steps on the toes of anyone who gets in her way – no matter how powerful and influential (or dangerous) they may be. She lives in Sicily, a dangerous place for police, prosecutors and judges, who often have to operate in a tightly woven web of bribery, fraud and nepotism. Nevertheless, she becomes deeply involved in every case until she is confronted with the truth.
